Mookie's Maulers modified pitch men's softball team is made up of a great group of players.  We have fun every night and play hard and play to win!  With our eyes towards many more championship seasons in the future, we are the team to beat in the Central New Jersey men's modified fast pitch softball league! We play both weeknights as well as Sunday morning double headers. Join a Men's Fast Pitch Softball Team in the Central Jersey Softball Association, LLC 

• Chis Salicco has been running the Central Jersey Softball Association league for more than a decade.  This Jersey Shore league offers a competitive men's modified pitch softball league which is extremely well organized.  Participants have many different styles of play to choose from.  First there is the Men's Modified Fast Pitch league for those who are at a serious skill level and want to simulate the sport as baseball as closely as possible.  Then there are three levels below this which will accommodate men of all skill levels. The league breaks down as follows: Men's Fast Pitch (10 Man) B+ Level, B level, C+ level, C level and Men's Modified Pitch (10 Man) Over 40 level.  Additionally, there is the Men's Slow Pitch, Co-Ed Slow Pitch, and Women's Slow Pitch League. Each league has both a spring and fall season. As a result you have something for everyone!
• Mookie's Maulers currently play in two of the Men's Modified Pitch divisions which adheres to all ASA softball guidelines and regulations. Pitchers cannot throw slingshot and their first move must be forward when delivering the ball to home plate. Other general rules include the utilization of an orange double first base which is used to protect players from contact injury. Players can take their lead off of any base only after the pitcher has released the ball towards home plate. A team can designate a pinch runner for up to three players in a game. Most importantly, since softball bats have become hotter and hotter over the last decade, for the safety of the pitchers, all batters must use only an ASA approved bat when hitting. As a result, all bats are tested and must be marked with a C.S.A. sticker for them to be eligible for game use. Of course there are some additional rules like no drinking before or during games, no unsportsmanlike conduct, and now players are instructed to follow proper COVID guidelines whenever possible. 

• Mookies Maulers currently has three Men's Modified Pitch Softball Teams in the Central Jersey Softball Association League.  Two weeknight and one Sunday morning double header softball team. Games for the weeknight softball team are generally played at Veterans Park and Geik Park in Old Bridge New Jersey. Mens Games for the Sunday morning softball league are played at Veterans Park, Geik Park, Phillips Park in Old Bridge New Jersey and Hazlet Veterans Memorial Park (VMP) in Hazlet New Jersey. The 2023 spring mens softball season begins on or around the third week in April and the fall season begins either the last week in August or the first week in September.
